It all started when…
The family dog, Tiger was my constant companion through my undergraduate studies at USF. Lots of jobs and eventually, over the years I established myself successfully as a Florida Bar Certified Paralegal in Miami. That said I was missing a little something… then in 2007 that little something found me. She came in the form of a courageous, adult, red miniature pinscher who was rescued from the streets as she was dodging cars and crossing harrowing traffic. I happened to walk into my friend’s animal hospital when they were bringing her in, and it was love at first sight! At that moment she became “IKEA” and once again I had a constant companion.
Miss IKEA, (as she was affectionately known to family and friends) took her companion duties very seriously and with her bigger-than-life personality, served as the inspiration I needed to use my life-long advocacy, passion and love for animals to start my own business in the pet industry despite the economic turmoil of the 2008 great recession that would have caused anyone else to shy away from such a new endeavor. IKEA was the heart and soul of my start up and an essential part of daily operations as she was always a happy greeter to our many canine customers during those early years, always present until she crossed the rainbow bridge to enter doggie heaven.
Since then, I have rescued and adopted Ava Gardner and Aston Martin, whom immediately captured my heart and carried on with IKEA’s legacy, quickly becoming an integral part of what we do every day. They have made their own mark as gracious hosts, play pals and cuddle buddies for all their favorite Palm Beach canine customers and friends.
Today I am thrilled that the time I spent caring for animals (since before I can remember), my studies and worldwide travels, along with years of business experience, has all served as the perfect foundation to establish a thriving career as a professional pet concierge. I continue to advocate for animal welfare, and I enjoy being able to express my passion and love for animals in all that I do.
